| Objective / Description |
|
 |
| Introduction
In the light of the Global events of September 11, 2001 we have seen a great need to explore the opportunities for a dialogue at the level of youth leaders and those working with the objective of changing stereotypes of both civilizations: Arab-Islamic Eastern civilization and Western-Christian civilization; Europe and the Mediterranean area.
After September 11, we have seen an increase of fanatic ideologies and the shadow of racism and cultural isolationism. In this context, there is a number of reports of hate crimes. In this regard, YAP and Baladna the Arab Youth Organization, have seen the need to converge on the issue of an intercultural youth dialogue, in order to establish cooperative work between youth organizations. Through it, we aim to strengthen youth organizations work on the issue, particularly between Western and Arab-Islamic culture. This, we hope, will challenge stereotypes of both groups, for the sake of a pluralist world.
Working Methods and methodology
The work will be done individually, in working groups and in plenary sessions, including lectures, games, discussions as well as time for self-reflection.
