The SGI's mobilization efforts in support of the International Year in four countries resulted in 179 078 signatures collected for the Manifesto 2000. Meanwhile, the SGI organized original programs  as, for example, the "Victory Over Violence" campaign which touched 110 000 individuals in the US.
