In Australia, Internet was was used to promote the Year through the establishment of a specific web site informing  people regularly of new projects and events; Australians have also been among the most active in building the Culture of Peace News Network (CPNN).

In New-Zealand, among the many activities, a school outreach programme was launched, the "Peacebuilder awards" were given and an extensive media campaign was developed to raise awareness and provide information on the International Year...
